Owl Cyber Defense and Tresys Technology Announce Merger
Owl Cyber Defense (“Owl”) and Tresys Technology (“Tresys”) are excited to jointly announce that the two companies are merging. Integration of the Owl Danbury, CT office with the Tresys Columbia, MD office is already underway with the intention to fully merge the operations of the two companies over the coming months. The merger is a strategic move to create the number one boundary security product and services company in the world with a continued focus on the U.S. government, defense, and global critical infrastructure markets.
The merged company will operate under the Owl Cyber Defense name and combine the talent, expertise, and products each company has developed over the last two decades. The new management team is being led by members of the Tresys executive team, including Robert Stalick – CEO, Tony Corbi – CFO, Ken Walker – CTO. While the companies have served similar markets, the minimal overlap in products, skill sets, and expertise uniquely positions the new combined entity for accelerated growth.
Going forward, Owl will leverage the historical strengths of both companies to deliver best-in-class cybersecurity software, hardware, and services to those organizations that expect and demand absolute assurance and uncompromising security. The U.S. Department of Defense and Intelligence Community can expect the most advanced and accredited, Raise-the-Bar (RTB) compliant cross domain solutions to meet or exceed mission requirements. Critical infrastructure operators will also benefit from the military-grade filtering, deep content inspection, one-way hardware, and protocol expertise to provide the strongest, most advanced protection for their plant operations.
Recognizing that security is more than a “nice to have”, Owl is making the technology and expertise trusted by the most secure government networks in the world available in exportable, cost-effective solutions designed for a range of deployments, from individual endpoints to full enterprise protection. Customers seeking guidance through the decision-making process to final implementation can rely on the trusted advice of Owl Professional Services to provide the expertise relied on by industry leaders to harden and protect systems and endpoints.
The future of Owl looks very strong as continued growth is forecasted; driven by a customer-first culture, the industry’s most robust range of products (tactical, mobile, endpoint, harsh environments, enterprise, cloud), and continued international expansion. As the only company serving both U.S. government agencies and the largest critical infrastructure operators globally, Owl’s goal is nothing less than defining the future of network boundary security for the coming decades.
